When I was a kid there was a 2000AD style Sonic the Comic, full of strips based on crap MegaDrive games.  Most of them were awful (except Decap Attack), but often the main sonic storyline was drawn by Richard Elson, who was a comic god. I copied his hand drawings relentlessly. Under his pencil, Sonic did not look retarded and Robotnik looked genuinely cruel.  I started reading 2000AD regularly in my early twenties, and I began seeing strips in there drawn by Elson and he was EVEN BETTER THAN BEFORE.

Also, every sonic games since Chaotix has been fucking appalling

I like how the above comment had absolutely nothing to do with Del’s main point and explanation to Penders shit.

It’s like he’s missing the point or something.

Anyway, nice red lining, Del! Penders seems to just fail at even giving ‘his’ characters some ground to even stand on, so it’s cool how you showed how dynamic a pose can be in you just take the time to map the pose out properly.

Now if you can redline this, all my dreams will come true. (No it won’t, but still)

If an idea is worth having, it’s worth writing down in an expensive, fancy notebook. I have used Moleskine (“mol-ess-keen-ah”, for all you superior pedants) books for a while, but was recently led astray by the glorious object you see above. Numbered pages? Table of contents?? Dots…

My best work was done in a bunch of sketchbooks I bought from Asda for £2. Black cover, perforated blank pages, and a flappy thing at the back for bits of paper. They’ve made them slighty crapper now, but for £2 they piss all over all expensive big-name brand books.

You’ve all missed the point.  Lady Gaga is all about the ridiculous image.  Does she really think her music is anything other than a beat people get hammered to in gay clubs?  I doubt it.  She’s a whole audio-visual package that seeks to make people either go “wow!” or “what the fuck!?” constantly.  Not that I actually like Gaga, but I understand that she’s a mental combination of noise and lights to be taken together.  Adele is also fucking shit, but she doesn’t even have anything to look at.

At least the Foos got some awards, they are good.

I honestly don’t know any Adele songs but she has a solid voice from what little I’ve heard and I’m glad Adele got recognized and not Gaga, especially after Gaga made fun of her weight. And if Gaga is “something to look at”, then yikes. She looks like a cracked out drag-version of Gwen Stefani when she’s not draped in meat or whatever she finds in the dumpster.

I wouldn’t care if people didn’t put Gaga on a pedestal, but they act like she is the be-all-end-all of music, and if that’s true, then strike me deaf right now. They compare her to Madonna, which I agree, because Madonna was and is also terrible.

But hell yeah!! Foo Fighters? I will always support some damn Foo Fighters.

Well now, I never claimed she was attractive.  That would indeed be absurd.  Did she really make fun of Adele for being a fatty? I read that, then read it was untrue. Then discarded this as useless information.  And she actually said in an interview she loved Madonna and was very much influenced by her, which is a truly sad thing indeed (replicating her crap music and attempts to shock people, and dressing up in ridiculous outfits, but TO THE MAX).  The next generation will see a fake blonde italian-american woman screaming into a megaphone while stuffing raw kebab meat up her vagina. Probably. Hopefully Gaga will quite before she becomes a leotard-abusing octogenarian.  It would be nice if people did less of the pedestal-sticking, yes.
